This writ petition is filed seeking direction to the second respondent to pass suitable orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 16.08.2017 and 01.08.2018 in terms of the
G.O.Ms.No.34 dated 10.04.2017.
2. It is the claim of the petitioners that their fathers worked as daily coolies under the fourth respondent. After the death of each of the petitioner's father, the petitioners were provided with the daily wages job with the fourth respondent. G.O.Ms.No.34 dated 10.04.2017 was passed, directing the authorities to regularise the services of the daily wage employees on time scale of pay.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have already submitted a representation in this regard on 16.08.2017 and as there was no reply, they submitted another representation on 01.08.2018, which is not answered till date. Hence, the present writ petition is filed.
3. Mr. Rajendra Prasad, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3, and Mr.P.S.Sivashanmugasundaram takes notice on behalf of the fourth respondent.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.
4. In view of the limited relief sought for, this Court is of the view that it is not necessary to dwell into the merits of the issue, but it would be suffice to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 16.08.2017 and 01.08.2018 and pass orders on the same within a particular time frame.
5. In the above circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 16.08.2017 and 01.08.2018 and pass orders thereon, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
