Prayer: Writ Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the impugned proceedings issued by the 5th respondent in Endt.No. A2/5600/2016 dated 19.07.2017 and to quash the same and consequently directing the 5th respondent to transfer the petitioner to District Police within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. The order of rejection dated 19.07.2017, rejecting the claim of the writ petitioner to transfer the petitioner to District Armed Police, is under challenge in the present writ petition.
2. During the relevant point of time, the petitioner suffered a punishment of stoppage of increment for three years with cumulative effect and the said punishment was in currency. Therefore, her case was not considered for District Armed Service Police.
3. Originally, the punishment of removal from service was imposed on the petitioner and the said punishment was subsequently modified to that
of stoppage of increment for three years with cumulative effect. Consequently, she was reinstated into service. That being the factum, the petitioner was not eligible for transfer, during the relevant point of time an application was made by her.
4. However, the learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondents submitted a copy of the proceedings dated 24.12.2020, wherein the petitioner also has been transferred to the District Armed Reserved Police based on her request. The name of the petitioner has been included in Serial No. 262 in the proceedings dated 24.12.2020. Since the grievance of the writ petitioner has already been redressed, no further adjudication is required. Consequently, the writ petition stands closed. No costs.
