PRAYER: Criminal Original petition is filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the respondent to provide police protection based on the complaint dated 22.09.2018 pending on the file of respondent.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for police protection to prevent the access and entry to the matrimonial house.

2. It is seen from the records that there is a matrimonial dispute pending between the parties. The nature of the relief that has been sought for by this petitioner cannot be granted by providing police protection. The petitioner has to necessarily approach the appropriate Court and file a petition under Domestic Violence Act, in order to get a relief of this nature.

3. In the result, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed by giving liberty to the petitioner to work out her remedy in the manner known to law.
