Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to return to him, or to his father, a sum of Rs.1,53,500/- (One lakh and fifty three thousand five hundred rupees only) paid by the petitioner's father towards the fees for the second year study in B.Tech in Civil Engineering Degree Course in the respondent University within a time frame along with interest as may be fixed by this Court for the period from 02.09.2016 to the date of payment.

O R D E R

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the prayer in the Writ Petition has become infructuous and he has also made the following endorsement:

"Paid a cheque bearing No.754602 dated 03.04.2019 drawn on I.O.B.Padur, Chennai -103 which is refund in full of the fees, I have paid i.e., Rs.1,53,500/- and now the W.P has become infructuous and I may be permitted to withdraw the writ petition."

2. In view of the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as having become infructuous.
