: Mrs. Karthika Ashok, Standing counsel C O M M O N O R D E R These writ petitions have been filed seeking direction to renew the petitioners' licence of their respective shops.
2. The grievance of the petitioner in all the writ petitions is that they are running the shop for several years and the petitioners made application seeking renewal of licence on various dates. But their applications were not considered by the respondents till date. Hence, the present writ petitions have been filed.
3. Mrs. Karthika Ashok, Standing counsel appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the petitioners are running their shops without any licence and so far the respondents corporation did not receive any application from the petitioners. If the petitioners file application before the third respondent, the third respondent will pass suitable orders on the same.
4. I have considered the rival submissions made on either side and perused the materials available on record. 5.Considering the above facts and circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, the petitioners are directed to file a fresh application along with prescribed fees before the third respondent within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the same, third respondent is directed to consider the application and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks thereafter. Till the order passed on the application filed by the petitioners, the respondents are
directed not to dispossess the petitioners.
7. With the above directions, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
