O R D E R

The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 01.02.2012 and further to mutate the revenue records pertaining to S.No.364/5, 364/7 and 364/8A of Vellanur Village, Avadi Taluk, Tiruvallur District, in compliance with the directions of the first respondent, in the name of the petitioner.

2. Heard Mr.R.Karthikeyan, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.E.Balamurugan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 01.02.2012 seeking to mutate the revenue records in his name and issue patta, but, the same is yet to be disposed of by the first respondent. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Earlier in proceedings in OM No.698/2012/A1 dated 04.02.2012, based on the representation made by the petitioner, the Revenue Divisional Officer had directed the Tahsildar, Ambattur, to conduct an enquiry with respect to issuing patta in favour of the petitioner. Based on the same, vide proceedings in Na.Ka.No.2860/2012/C3 dated 04.09.2014, the Tahsildar, Ambattur had sent an enquiry report to the first respondent.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the representation, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.02.2012 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice and also affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, as well as any of the interested parties, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
