Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to promote the petitioner to the post of Superintendent from the post of Clerk Grade II retrospectively with effect from 30.12.2017.

Petitioner was appointed as Clerk Grade IV in the second respondent society in the year 1989 and subsequently he was promoted as Clerk Grade III and thereafter to Grade II. Claiming that the petitioner is a graduate in B.Com and he is entitled to be considered to the post of Superintendent, the petitioner made a representation to the respondent on 01.10.2018, which has not been considered. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

2. Mr. Bala Ramesh takes notice on behalf of the respondents. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. In view of the limited relief sought for, this Court is of the view that it is not necessary to dwell into the merits of the issue, but it would be suffice to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the same within a particular time frame.

4. In the above circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 01.10.2018 and pass orders thereon, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
