Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the records of the detention made in Memo No.957/B.C.D.F.G.I.S.S.S.V./2018 dated 17.10.2018, passed by the Commissioner of Police, Greater Chennai Police, Vepery, Chennai7, the second respondent herein and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenue before this Court and set the detenue Thiru.Anandan, son of Murugesan, aged 55 years, now confined in Central Prison, Puzhal II, Chennai and set him at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.SATHYANARAYANAN, J) It is represented that the impugned order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Advisory Board https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

and subsequent to it, the Government vide order in G.O.Rt.No.5298 (Home, Prohibition & Excise (XIII) Department dated 03.12.2018, revoked the order of detention dated 17.10.2018, pending against the detenu and he was directed to be released forthwith. The said Government Order is produced before the Court and the same is taken on file.
