This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider and pass orders on petitioner's representation dated 03.09.2018 and to sanction and disburse additional pay to the petitioner for having held additional incharge posts within a time limit stipulated by this Court.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was holding additional charge as District Village Panchayat Secretary from 19.10.2012 to 16.04.2013, and
subsequently as Personal Assistant to the District Collector (Noon Meal) from 01.05.2014 to 29.01.2015. However, for the said period he was not given any additional pay. The petitioner has sent a representation to the respondents in this regard on 03.09.2018, which has not been considered till date and thus the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
3. Mr.R.S.Selvam, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.
4. In view of the limited relief sought for, this Court is of the view that it is not necessary to dwell into the merits of the issue, but it would be suffice to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.09.2018 and to pass orders on the same within a particular time frame.
5. In the above circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.09.2018 and pass orders thereon, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
