The Zonal Officer, Zonal Office-V, Corporation of Chennai, Chennai Respondents Prayer:- This Writ Petition has been filed, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 5th Respondent to scientifically dispose of the meat without causing any hazard to the environment and consequently to direct the 3rd Respondent to submit a status report and pass guidelines on safety regulations on transport of items for human consumption.

The learned counsel for the Petitioner has submitted that since the prayer in this Writ Petition has become infructuous, this Writ Petition may be dismissed, as infructuous and to that effect, he has also made an endorsement in the affidavit filed in support of this Writ Petition. In view of the same, recording the said endorsement and the submissions of the learned counsel for the Petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed, as 2/4
infructuous. No costs. Consequently, the connected WMPs are also dismissed.
