The petitioner, who was originally appointed as Block Resource Teaching Educator faced a domestic enquiry on account of three charges. Out of three charges, two charges were held not proved. On account of the third charge, there was a punishment of increment cut for a period of one year. Challenging the punishment, as non-application of mind and against the dignity guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution of India, a revision has been preferred by the petitioner. of mandamus has been filed.
2. Heard both sides.
3. At the outset, the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents would submit that the revision filed by the petitioner would be considered in accordance with law.
4. In view of the limited relief sought for and considering the said submission, the respondents are directed to consider the Revision, dated 12.10.2018, preferred by the petitioner, (in tune with the provisions envisaged under the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, and to pass orders thereon, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
