Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents regarding the construction of the new Shastri Nagar bus shelter on M.G.Road, Adyar, based on the petitioner's representation dated 14th November 2018 For Petitioner : Mrs.Anita Thomas For Respondents-1&2 : Mrs.Karthikaa Ashok, Standing Counsel

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed directing the respondent not to put up any construction at New Shastri Nagar bus shelter

at M.G.Road, Adayar.

2.The grievance of the petitioner is that, there was a bus stand in front of the apartments of the petitioner. Subsequently, it was removed. Now, once again, the respondents are going to put up a bus stand obstructing the petitioner's ingress and egress to the apartments. In the said circumstances, the petitioner has sent a representation to the 1st respondent on 14.11.2018, so far, the representation of the petitioner was not considered. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner.

3. Mrs.Karthikaa Ashok, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that they are in receipt of the representation, and they will conduct due enquiry, and pass suitable orders.

4. Recording the above submissions, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law after giving opportunity to the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the present Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
