ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The petitioners are seeking direction to respondent Nos.1 and 2 i.e., the District Collector, Kancheepuram District and the Tahsildar, Madurantakam Taluk, Kancheepuram District not to dispossess them from their houses situated at Janagipuram Village, Madurantakam Taluk, Kancheepuram District comprised in Survey No.223/3 (Meikkal Poramboke) without following the procedure established by law.

2. The learned Government Advocate appearing for respondent Nos.1 and 2 submitted that the Revenue Inspector of Karunguzhi has issued notice under Section 7 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905 dated 27.12.2018 to the petitioners. The learned Government Advocate further submitted that the petitioners will not be dispossessed from their houses without following the procedure established by law.

3. In view of the said statement made by the learned Government Advocate, no further directions are necessary in this writ petition.

4. The writ petition is dismissed with the above observation. No costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.40385 of 2018 is closed.
