This writ petition is filed seeking direction to the respondent herein to pay the retirement benefits and sanction pension for the petitioner as per his representation made to the respondent on 25.07.2018.
2. The petitioners is the retired employees of the respondent corporation. He had retired from service on 31.01.2018. However, his retirement benefits have not yet been https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
paid by the respondent. Hence the petitioner gave a representation to the respondent dated 25.07.2018, requesting the respondents to pay the retirement benefits and sanction pension, and the same has not yet been considered till date. That has forced the petitiones to approach this Court by way of the present writ petition.
3. Mr.P.Kannan Kumar, learned Standing counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials placed on record.
4. Earlier, this Court in W.P(Md).No.2629 of 2015., directed the Transport Corporation to settle the retirement benefits to the retired employees in twelve equal monthy instalments. Accordingly, following the earlier order of this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, the respondent is directed to settle the retirement benefits of the petitioners in twelve equal monthly instalments and the first of such instalments shall be paid on or before 01st January 2019. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
