Mr.A.N.Thambidurai Additional Government Pleader Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to pass orders granting promotion to the petitioner on par with junior Thiru R.Padmanabhan to the post Motor Vehicle Inspector (Non-Technical) with effect from 25.11.2014 and to the post of Personal Assistant to the Regional Transport Officer with all consequential and other attendant benefits, by considering the representations submitted by the petitioner dated 31.08.2015, 06.02.2017, 13.11.2017 and 22.01.2018 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This writ petition is filed seeking direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.01.2018, in which his earlier representations dated 31.08.2015, 06.02.2017 and 13.11.2017 has been referred to. The representation was given to consider the petitioner for promotion on par with his juniors. For all the four representations, as there is no reply from the respondents and that has made the petitioner to file the present writ petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice and submits that the first respondent will consider the request of the petitioner, only if the proposal is sent by the second respondent, as none of his representations had been brought to the notice of the first respondent.

3. Under the circumstances, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation dated 22.01.2018 and send a proposal to the first respondent within three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of such proposal, the first respondent shall issue necessary orders thereon, within a period of six weeks thereafter. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
