ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] Seeking a direction to the first respondent to cause the production of the body of the detenu M.Velu, S/o. Madurai, aged about 27 years old before this Court and set him at liberty, the present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the mother of the detenu.

2.Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that detenu, who is the son of the petitioner, is a mentally deranged person. Despite efforts made, he is yet to be traced.

3.In such view of the matter, we are not inclined to keep this petition pending any longer. Accordingly, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed. However, the first respondent shall proceed with the investigation. As and when the detenu is traced, he should be produced before the jurisdictional Magistrate.
