Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, Special Govt.Pleader Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to pass final orders on the disciplinary procedings against the petitioner pending with him in T.D.P.Case No.05 of 2014 in Roc No.305/2014/A2 dated 02.09.2014.

O R D E R

Petitioner was issued with a charge memo dated 02.09.2014 consequent to the joint surprise inspection by the officials of Vigilance and Anti Corruption Department. Thereafter, the second respondent conducted enquiry and submitted the report as early as in September 2017. It is the claim of the petitioner that the enquiry report of the second respondent is kept pending since September 2017 and no orders are passed by the first respondent till date. The grievance of the petitioner is that he is due to retire on 31.12.2018 and till now no final orders are not passed on the disciplinary proceedings. The petitioner has submitted a representation dated 23.10.2018 in this regard, which has not been considered. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

2. Mr. A.N.Thambidurai, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. Considering the fact that the petitioner is due to retire from service on 31.12.2018, the respondents are directed to complete the disciplinary proceedings within two weeks from 06.12.2018 positively, and pass orders thereon, in accordance with law. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
