ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking to quash the FIR in Crime No.692 of 2016 pending on the file of the 1st respondent police. The FIR was registered for an offence under Section 366 (A) of IPC. The complaint was given by the father of the victim girl.

2. Today, the petitioner and the victim girl named Divya Priya were present before this Court. The victim girl categorically stated that, she got married to the petitioner on 13.04.2016 and there is female child out of the said wedlock. She categorically stated that the petitioner did not kidnap her and she went with the petitioner on her own volition. She further submitted that the pendency of the FIR will affect the interest of both the petitioner and the victim girl. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The petitioner stated that he has married the victim girl and they are now living happily.

4. In view of the above, no useful purpose will be served in keeping the FIR pending. Therefore the FIR in Crime No.692 of 2016 on the file of the 1st respondent police is here by quashed and accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed.
