O R D E R

The petitioner, who was working as Assistant Educational Officer, was inflicted with a punishment of five years stoppage of increment by the order dated 24.07.2018. Challenging the same, the petitioner has filed an appeal on 06.08.2018, which pending before the first respondent. Claiming that the appeal should be disposed of within a limited time frame, this writ petition has been filed.

2. Ms.P.Kavitha, learned Government Advocate (Education) takes notice for the respondents. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

2. There is no time limit fixed for the disposal of statutory appeals under the statute. However, considering the practical difficulties expressed by the petitioner, the respondents are directed to dispose of the appeal preferred by https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the petitioner dated 06.08.2018 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is ordered accordingly. No costs.
