ORDER
This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking direction to the respondent to settle the amount towards surrender of Earned Leave from 2010-2011, 2011-2012, 2012-2013, 2013-2014, 2014-2015, 2015-2016. Claiming the same, the petitioner made several representations to the respondent.
2. The petitioner joined as a driver in the respondent Corporation on 19.01.1981 and retired from service on 30.04.2016 after completion of 35 years of unblemished service.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court in W.P. (MD) No.17903 of 2016 dated 06.10.2016, passed an order in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
similar case to settle the amount towards surrender of Earned Leave.
4. Under the facts and circumstances, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.07.2018 in the light of the order passed by the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court in in W.P.(MD) No.17903 of 2016 dated 06.10.2016 and to pass appropriate orders thereon, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
