By consent of both parties, this Writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents, their men, agents and subordinates to issue patta for the house sites of the petitioner comprised in 241/1B, 2 & 3A of Okkiam Thuraipakkam Revenue Village at Srinivasa Nagar, Thoraipakkam, Chennai - 600 096.

3. It appears that the petitioner has made an application on 20.02.2012 for issuance of patta with sub division of the plot in Serial No.34/2012 RPT.No.1413/12 of VAO, Thoraipakkam Village. The application was made long back in the year 2012 and thereafter, reminders have been given by the petitioner in the year 2014 and again in 2016. Thereafter, there has been no reminders or no follow up. Now, it is stated that any application for issuance of patta should be made only through online.

4. Heard Mr.R.Kannan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Shanmugasundar, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, the petitioner is permitted to apply for patta through online within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of such representation, the respondents are directed to consider the same after issuing notice to the petitioner and the persons interested in this regard and also affording them an opportunity of personal hearing, and then pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of such representation. It is made clear that this Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the representation to be made by the petitioner.

6. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
