ORDER

The petitioners were appointed as Sweeper in Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department Hostel from 2015 in terms of the proceedings of the 3rd respondent dated 25.09.2015.

2. According to the petitioners, the Government issued G.O.Ms.No.385, Finance (Pay Cell) Department dated 01.10.2010, wherein, Sweepers, working either on daily wage basis or consolidated pay basis, were granted special time scale of pay of Rs.1,300 - 3000 + G.P. Rs.300 along with Dearness Allowance payable to the Government employees and also granted annual increment of 3% on the basic pay and Grade pay.

3. It is the grievance of the petitioners that despite the said G.O., they were not granted Special Time Scale of Pay till date. Hence, they submitted a representation dated 26.08.2018 to the respondents requesting to grant special Time Scale of Pay. As the same has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 26.08.2018 in the light of G.O.Ms.No.385 Finance (Pay Cell) Department dated 01.10.2010 and to pass orders thereon, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
