Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the Memorandum of Grounds in CRL.A.No.789 of 2018 on the file of the High Court, the High Court will be pleased to to suspend the sentence imposed against the petitioner on 03.10.2018 in S.C.No.317 of 2017 on the file of the Special court for cases under POCSO Act 2012 / Mahila Court, Chennai and release the petitioner on bail till the disposal of the CRL.A.No.789 of 2018.

Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and the Memorandum of Grounds in CRL.A.No.789 of 2018 on the file of the High Court and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.P.PUGALENDHI, Advocate for the petitioner, and of MR.R.RAVICHANDRAN Government Advocate on behalf of the Respondent, the court made the following order:- This miscellaneous petition has been filed seeking to suspend the sentence imposed on the petitioner by judgment dated 03.10.2018 by the Special Court for cases under POCSO Act 2012, Mahila Court, Chennai, pending disposal of the above criminal appeal. In view of gravity of the offence committed by the petitioner under POCSO Act, this Court is not inclined to entertain the miscellaneous petition, seeking suspension of sentence and hence the same is dismissed.
