Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a direction in the nature of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the respondents pertaining to the impugned notice dated 01.11.2018 on the file of the 2nd respondent issued to the petitioner's property and quash the same and consequently restrain the respondents from in any way interfering with the petitioner's peaceful possession of lands in Town Survey No.9235, Block 132, T.Nagar Village, Mambalam, Guindy Taluk, Chennai District, except in accordance with law and pass such further orders.

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned standing counsel appearing for the fourth respondent submitted that the purpose for which the land was supposed to be acquired had been dropped. If the land is required in future for any purpose, fresh notification will be issued and other proceedings will be initiated in accordance with law. 2/4

2. In view of the above submission made by the learned standing counsel appearing for the fourth respondent, the learned counsel for the petitioners sought permission of this Court to withdraw the present writ petition, and he has also made an endorsement to that effect in the case bundle.

3. In the light of the aforesaid submissions made by the learned counsel on both sides as well as the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this writ petition stands dismissed as withdrawn. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
