This writ petition has been filed to quash the impugned order of the first respondent dated 26.06.2018 and Notification published in ''Dina Malar'' on 27.06.2018 under Section 3(2) of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Lands for Industrial Purpose Act, 1997 for the acquisition of petitioner's 1/3 rd UDS of land in 427 sq.mts in S.No.66 in Block No.56 Koyambedu Village, Aminjikarai Taluk of Chennai District.
2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel for CMRL appearing for the second respondent submitted that the acquisition proceedings itself has been dropped and hence, nothing survives for adjudiciation in this writ petition.

3. In view of the above, this writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
