ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings in S.C.No.85 of 2018, pending on the file of the Sessions Mahila City Civil Court, Chennai, for the offences under Section 366 IPC and Section 6 of POSCO Act, 2012.
2. The case is still at the stage of investigation. By passage of time, the parties have decided to bury their hatchet and compromise the dispute amicably among themselves. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3.The victim Jayapriya was present before the Court today. She stated that her date of birth is 22.06.2000. She further stated that she was in love with the petitioner, and initially it was opposed by her family members. Thereafter, she got married to the petitioner on 22.07.2018. After marriage, she is now living with the petitioner and his parents. The mother of the victim viz.; Malar, who was also present in the Court, reiterated the statement made by Jayapriya. She also stated that her family has also accepted the marriage happily. She requested this Court to close the entire case. 4.In the result, the proceedings in S.C.No.85 of 2018, pending on the file of the Mahila City Civil Court, Chennai is hereby quashed. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is allowed, in terms of the affidavit filed by the 2nd respondent before this Court and also the statement made by her before this Court in person. Affidavit of the 2nd respondent relied upon shall form part and parcel of this order. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
