2/5 PRAYER:Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorari, to call for the records of the 2nd respondent, The Revenue Divisional Officer and Land Acquisition Officer, South Chennai Revenue Division, Guindy, Chennai - 600 032 in respect of Impugned Form-A (See Rule 3) Show Cause Notice dated 01.11.2018 issued under Sub-Section (2) of Section 3 of Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1997 (Tamil nadu Act 10 of 1999) for the land specified and situated in Mylapore Part-I, Village, Mylapore Taluk, Chennai District for Corridor 4 - 05 - Alwarpet Metro Station, more fully described in the Impugned Show Cause Notice as Block No.34, Survey No. 1650/16, Description: Ryotwari/Quit Rent to an extent of 252.0 Sq. Mts belonging to the Petitioner herein and quash the same as unsustainable in law.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned Show Cause Notice of the 2 nd respondent dated 01.11.2018 issued under Section 3(2) of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1997. 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of Chennai Metro Rail Limited submitted that pending the writ petition, a Memorandum of Understanding was entered into between the

3/5 petitioner and the CMRL. The copy of the Memorandum of Understanding dated 28.03.2023 was furnished to the Court.

3.On carefully going through the Memorandum of Understanding, it is seen that the parties have reached an understanding in this case and the terms of agreement has been specifically laid down in the Memorandum of Understanding. 4.In the light of the above development, recording the Memorandum of Understanding entered into between the parties dated 28.03.2023, this writ petition is disposed of with in the above terms. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
