O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction, directing the 2nd respondent to file a report within stipulated time in pursuant to the letter dated 03.10.2017 issued by the 1st respondent.

2. It is seen that the petitioner submitted a representation on 26.09.2017 before the 1st respondent alleging that the 3rd & 4th respondents had damaged the plants which were planted under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), 2015 - 2016 in the Government Poromboke land comprised in Survey Nos. 6,7,8 & 12 situate at Beemanandhal village, Chengam Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District. On receipt of the same, the 1st respondent directed 2/5

the 2nd respondent to take action against the 3rd and 4th respondents and file a report. Since no action has been taken, the petitioner is before this Court.

In view of the above, the 2nd respondent is directed to conduct enquiry on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, after issuance of notice to the petitioner and the respondents 3 & 4 herein and submit a report before the 1st respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the 1st respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law.

4. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
