ORDER

This Criminal Original petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime No.453 of 2016 pending on the file of the first respondent.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioners raised several factual issues and submitted that no offence is made out against the petitioners, even on the reading of the allegations made in the complaint.

3. This Court is not inclined to interfere with the proceedings at this stage. Going by the allegations made in the complaint and the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court is inclined to transfer the investigation from the file of the first respondent to the file of the Central Crime Branch, Chennai.

4. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, with the above directions. The first respondent police shall hand over the entire case diary, to the Central Crime Branch, Chennai within a period of ten days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Central Crime Branch, Chennai shall thereafter continue with the investigation and file a final report within a period of four months therefrom.
