O R D E R

This petition has been filed for modification of the conditions imposed in Crl.M.P.No.6628 of 2018 on the file of CCB & CBCID Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 19.07.2018. Thereafter, the petitioner was granted statutory bail under Section 167(2) Cr.P.C by imposing the following conditions:

"(i) The accused shall deposit a sum of Rs.5 lakhs to the credit of Cr.No.305 of 2018.

(ii) After compliance of the 1st condition cited above, the petitioner shall furnish two sureties for like sum of Rs.1,00,000/- to the satisfaction of this Court and one among the surety shall be a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

blood relative of the accused.

(iii) The accused shall appear and sign before the respondent police daily at 10.30 am. and 6.00 pm until further orders."

Now, the petitioner has come up with this petition for modification of the said condition No.(i).

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the total amount involved in this Case is about Rs.16 lakhs and there are four previous case pending against the petitioner. She would also submit that the petitioner is detained under goondas. Therefore, she sought for dismissal of this petition seeking modification.

4. Considering the above facts and circumstances and also taking note of the fact that Rs.16 lakshs is involved in this case and there are four previous cases pending against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to modify the conditions imposed on the petitioner.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
