Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.R.
VIVEKANANTHAN, Advocate for the petitioner the court made the following order:- Earlier, this Court vide its order dated 13.11.2018, in Crl.M.P.Nos.14245 & 14250 of 2018, suspended the substantive sentence alone on condition that the petitioner shall deposit a sum of Rs.1,75,000/- within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order to the credit of C.C.No.10986 of 2014 on the file of the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, FTC-II, Egmore, Chennai, failing which, the suspension of substantive sentence of imprisonment granted, shall stand automatically vacated, without any further reference to this Court.
2. Now, the petitioner filed this petition to extend the time to deposit a sum of Rs.1,75,000/- as ordered by this Court in Crl.M.P.Nos.14245 & 14250 of 2018, dated 13.11.2018.
3. Considering the submissions made on behalf of the petitioner that he requires short time for complying with the direction to deposit a sum of Rs.1,75,000/-, the time grant by this Court shall https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
stand extended for a further period of two weeks from today. No further extension would be granted in any circumstances. In case, the petitioner fails to deposit the said amount within the time stipulated by this Court, the suspension of substantive sentence shall stand vacated automatically, without any further reference to this Court.
