ORDER

(By S.Vaidyanathan,J.) This Writ Petition has been filed praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the third respondent to remove the encroachments made in Sembarmbakkam Lake Drain Extent in Survey No.209 situated within Kozhumanivakkam Village and S.No.185 situated within Mangadu Village, Pallavaram Taluk, Kancheepuram District, pursuant to its order in Form-3, dated 08.05.2018.

2. Today, a Status Report of the second respondent has been filed, wherein it is stated that encroachment has been removed and now the area in question is maintained as a water channel.

3. In view of the above, no further orders are required in this Writ Petition, which is closed. However, we make it clear, that, as the water channel has been restored, officials are expected to see that no encroachments are made in the survey numbers in question. No costs.
