ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking for expedite the proceedings pending in C.C.No.40 of 2014 before the Special Court for NDPS & EC Act cases at Coimbatore.

2.Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. From the records, it is seen that the petitioner was arrested by the respondent police on 25.03.2014 for the alleged offence under Section 8 © r/w.21(c), 21, 25, 28 and 29 of NDPS Act.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the entire prosecution is over and the defence witness is also over, the case is adjourned for various other reasons. Therefore, the present petition has been filed before this Court seeking for a direction to expedite the trial. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the Special Court for NDPS & EC Act cases at Coimbatore, to expedite the trial in C.C.No.40 of 2014 within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
