ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the Inspector of Police (L&O) Madipakkam not to harass this petitioner pursuant to complaint made by G.Shanmugasundaram dated unknown of 2018.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3.It is seen from the records that there is already an FIR pending against the petitioner in Crime No.1740 of 2016 before the same Police Station. The petitioner has also obtained anticipatory bail from this Court in Crl.O.P.No.16797 of 2016. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, there was already a suit pending between the parties and the petitioner has also obtained an ex parte decree. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the other side had filed an application to set aside the decree with a condoning delay petition and simultaneously, a fresh complaint has been filed https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

before the respondent police and the respondent police is harassing the petitioner in the name of enquiry. Therefore, the present petition has been filed before this Court. 4.This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.1740 of 2016, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the enquiry pertains to any fresh complaint, the respondent police is directed not to entertain a fresh complaint and confine the investigation only to the pending FIR in Crime No.1740 of 2016.
