This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.11.2018.

2. The petitioner is the legally wedded wife of Mr.Gandhi, who worked as Pump Attendar in the respondent sugar mills. He died on 25.03.2018, while in service and in the service register of the said Gandhi, the petitioner's name is registered as nominee for seeking the death benefits and all other payments. The petitioner applied for compassionate appointment on 25.10.2018, which was not considered. The petitioner again sent a representation dated 29.11.2018, seeking compassionate appointment, which also did not evoke any response till date. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition for appropriate relief.

3. Mr.Bala Ramesh, Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents and submits that the entitlement of the petitioner has to be verified.

4. In view of the limited relief sought for, this Court is of the view that it is not necessary to dwell into the merits of the issue, but it would be suffice to direct the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.11.2018 and pass orders on the same within a particular time frame.

5. In the above circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.11.2018 and pass orders thereon, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
