Respondents Prayer:- Writ petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 27.11.2018 and to grant licence for opening a bunk shop at Semmancherry under the physically challenged disabled persons scheme.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed a direction to the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner who is seeking for licence for opening a bunk shop. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the records.

3.The relief as sought for by the petitioner is unsustainable since no one has the right to open a bunk shop and ask for a licence from the Corporation. To accommodate such persons, the Street Vendors Act, 2014, has been enacted and a Committee has already been constituted. This was done only to ensure that no bunk shops are illegally run at any part of the city of Chennai.

In view of the above, this court does not find any ground even to entertain this writ petition and accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
