ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] Seeking a direction to the first respondent to produce the detenue Sivaranjani, D/o.Kumar aged about 17 years before this Court and hand over to the petitioner., the present habeas corpus petition has been filed.
2.There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. 3.Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the case involves elopement of the minor at the relevant point of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
time with the second respondent. Though she has attained majority thereafter, it appears that neither the detenue nor the second respondent is secured notwithstanding the fact that a case has been registered for the offence under Section 366 A IPC.
4.In such view of the matter, especially the case is pending for more than one year, we are inclined to direct the Superintendent of Police, Thiruvarur District to monitor and supervise the investigation and take steps to trace the detenue. As and when the detenue is secured, she should be produced before the learned jurisdictional magistrate. 5.With the above direction, the habeas corpus petition stands closed.
