This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent to consider and pass the order on the petitioner's representation dated 24.04.2018. Having regard to the limited nature of the prayer, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court has taken up the writ petition for final disposal.

2. The petitioner's husband worked as Assistant Director, Tamil Nadu Veterinary Department, Tirunelveli and he retired from service on 30.06.1999. He died on 23.04.2012. During his life time he had two wives. The Additional Treasury Officer, Tirunelveli, sanctioned the family pension to the petitioner on 27.08.2011 and she got the family pension upto February 2013. Thereafter, the Treasury Officer, Tirunelveli had intimated to the petitioner that the petitioner's husband Dr.V.S.Masooth was having two wives ad hence the family pension is stopped. stated that the first wife of the petitioner's husband namely Zahara expired on 27.04.2017. Hence the petitioner approached the respondent to disburse 100% family pension to her and submitted a representation dated 24.04.2018, which did not evoke any response. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

3. Considering the restricted prayer during the arguments, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.04.2018, on merits and in accordance with law, and pass orders thereon, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
