Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to permit the petitioner to retire from service on 31.01.2019, without reference to the criminal case in F.I.R.No.1/AC/2018, on the file of the D.S.P.Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Salem, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 24.11.2018.

ORDER

Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, on instructions, submitted that subsequent to the filing of this writ petition, an order of suspension came to be passed on 30.01.2019 and hence, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition. However, the petitioner may be granted liberty to challenge the same before the appellate authority.
