Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, Special Government Pleader Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the first respondents to consider the petitioner for compassionate appointment in the place of his father late V.S.Gangadharan, who died in harness on 13.11.2000 by considering his application dated 19.11.2018.
O R D E R
The petitioner's father was working as a Junior Assistant in the Chennimalai Panchayat Union. He died in harness on 13.11.2000, leaving behind wife and two sons. The petitioner's mother submitted a representation dated 22.03.2011 to the second respondent for compassionate appointment. The third respondent has rejected the same by proceedings dated 10.09.2011, stating that she did not have requisite educational qualifications. It is stated that there was a ban on recruitment from the year 2001 to 2006 and the said ban was lifted in the year 2006. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Thereafter, the petitioner submitted a representation to the second respondent on 19.11.2018 seeking compassionate appointment for him, which has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court seeking appropriate relief.
2. Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents and submits that necessary action would be taken on the petitioner's representation.
3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.11.2018 in proper perspective, and pass appropriate orders thereon, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
