ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for re-investigation in Crime No.485 of 2018 pending on the file of the second respondent police.

2. The petitioner's daughter died under suspicious circumstance in the matrimonial house. According to the petitioner, she was tortured and harassed by the husband and the in-laws and therefore abetted the petitioner's daughter to commit suicide.

3. The respondent police have already registered an FIR under Section 174 of Cr.P.C and even according to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the RDO report has already been handed over to the second respondent police.

4. The leaned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the respondent police is investigating the case by examining the witnesses and the viscera report is awaited by the respondent police. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would further submit that the respondent police is conducting the investigation strictly in accordance with the guidelines given by this Court in the case of Manohari Versus The District Superintendent of Police, Sivagangai District and others reported in (2018) 2 LW (Crl.) 522. This Court doest not want to interfere with the investigation at this stage. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach this Court at a later point of time, if the investigation is not being effectively conducted by the respondent police.

5. In the result, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
