ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the first respondent to reimburse the medical expenses of Rs.1,88,760/- incurred by the petitioner for taking treatment at Sri Chandrasekara Hospital, Bangalur Road, Hosur .
2. The petitioner is working as aConductor in Tamil Nadu Government Transport Corporation, Villupuram District, Gudiyatham Depot, Vellore District. On 16.09.2017, he had experienced an acute and massive cardiac arrest and he was admitted in Sri Chandrasekara Hospital, Bangalur Road, Hosur and he was discharged from hospital on 21.09.2017. According to the petitioner, he had incurred medical expenses of Rs.1,95,819/-. According to the petitioner, he has been paying a sum of Rs.180/- per month as premium for the insurance policy and therefore, he is eligible for reimbursement of his medical expenses. The petitioner has given a representation on 04.11.2017 to the respondents, 2/4
requesting for reimbursement of his medical expenses. According to the petitioner, the said representation has not been considered by the respondents till date. In such circumstances, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.
3. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation is considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
4. For the forgoing reasons, this Court directs the respondents 2 and 3 to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 04.11.2017, requesting for medical reimbursement of the sum, alleged to have been incurred by the petitioner, for taking treatment at Sri Chandrasekara Hospital, Bangalur Road, Hosur within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
