This Writ Petition has been filed to call for the particulars relating to Notification No.06/2017 Government of Tamilnadu, Teachers Recruitment Board dated 28.07.2017, quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to allot 4% reservation in the category of Physically Challenged to the post of Lecturer in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department. 2.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the first and second respondents and the learned Standing counsel for third respondent.

During the course of hearing, the learned counsel for the third respondent submits that the Notification No.06/2017 issued on 28.07.2017 for the direct recruitment of Lecturers in Government Polytechnic Colleges has been cancelled. To that effect, a press note was issued on 09.02.2018 and the copy of the press note is placed before this Court and it is placed on record. 2/4

Learned counsel for the petitioner also accepted the same. 5.
In view of above factual position, in my considered view, no further adjudication is required in this writ petition. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous.

Consequently connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 7.
There shall be no order as to costs.
