This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceedings against the petitioners in Crime No. 12 of 2018 pending on the file of the first respondent police for the offences under Sections 498A and 297(b) of IPC.
2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the first respondent submitted that on completion of investigation, further action was dropped on 27.10.2019 itself.
3. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), nothing survives for adjudication in the instant Criminal Original Petition.
4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, the connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
