PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorari, calling for the records relating to in I.D.No.98 of 2016 dated 31.05.2018 on the file of Principal Labour Court, Vellore, Vellore District and quash the same. ORDER

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the disputes between the management and the workman have been settled under Section 18(1) settlement of the Industrial Disputes Act. A copy of the settlement dated 14.06.2022 has also been produced before this Court.

2. Recording the terms of the settlement, the writ petition stands closed. In view of the closure of the writ petition, the management is at liberty to file an appropriate application before the Principal Labour Court, Vellore, seeking for withdrawal of the amount deposited to the credit of I.D.No.98 of 2016 and on receipt of such an application, the Labour Court shall pass appropriate orders, allowing the application for withdrawal, preferably on the same day of filing of the application. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
