The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed to transfer the investigation of FIR No.143 of 2014 on the file of the third respondent police to the file of the second respondent police and to consequently expedite the completion of investigation and to submit a final report within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that FIR No.143 of 2014 has been transferred to the police concerned and a final report has also been filed before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Puducherry. Hence, the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructuous.

3. In view of the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
