Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the entire records on the file of the second respondent herein relating to the impugned order i.e. eviction notice proceedings dated 13.03.2014 in Na.Ka.No.181/A/2014 in respect of the petitioner's premises situated at No.C2/126, E.S.I. Quarters, Angalamman Koil Street, Pattalam, Chennai - 600 012 and quash the same as illegal and consequently, direct the second respondent herein to provide alternative Quarters/house dwelling premises and to proceed the matter by following due process of law.

When the matter was listed for hearing on 10.06.2022, none appeared on behalf of the petitioner. Thus, this Court passed an order, directing the Registry to list the matter on 14.06.2022 under the caption "For Dismissal".
2. When the matter was called on 14.06.2022, there was also no representation on behalf of the petitioner. In order to give one more opportunity, this Court once again passed an order, directing the Registry to list this matter under the caption "For Dismissal" on 16.06.2022.
When the matter is taken up for hearing today i.e., on 20.06.2022, none appeared for the petitioner. Thus, it is evident that the petitioner is not interested in pursuing the matter. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
