ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to recruit the petitioner to the post of Post Graduate Assistant Teacher in Zoology in Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Educational Service.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.
3. The petitioner had applied for the post of Post Graduate Assistant in Zoology in response to the Notification No.2/2013 dated 09.05.2013. He possessed M.Sc Zoology and B.Ed degree. He had applied under the category of Backward Class community for the post of Post Graduate Assistant in Zoology. He had underwent the written examination held on 21.07.2013 and he had secured 94 marks in the written examination. He was called for certificate verification and he had obtained 6 marks in certificate verification. Totally, he had scored 100 marks. Whereas, the last cut off mark under the Backward Class community is 101 marks. Therefore, he was not selected, since his marks does not come within the selection zone.
4. Therefore, the prayer sought for in this writ petition cannot be
considered and this writ petition is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petition is closed.
