O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.10.2013 for the issuance of patta in respect of the property bearing Plot Nos. 5 and 73, situated at 213, Erayoor Village (now it is called as Vaipoort), Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, comprised in Survey Nos. 262/1A4 and 262/1B an extent of 2400 square feet for each plots.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that though he has given his representation as early as on 17.10.2013 seeking for issuance of patta, the 4th respondent has not passed any order sofar.

3. Ms.A.Mathumathi, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents submitted that the 4th respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.10.2013 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and also taking into consideration the averments stated in the affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition, I direct the 4th respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.10.2013, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
