natural justice and probabilities of the case and thereby, direct the 4th respondent Employment Exchange to sponsor the petitioner's name for the post of Temporary Daily Wage Junior Technical Mechanic in the 3rd respondent and consequently, direct the 1st respondent to relax the upper age limit of five years to the petitioner and thereby, direct the 2nd respondent to send the Interview Card to the petitioner and appoint him as Motor Mechanic in the respondents 2 and 3/Transport Corporation.

ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed challenging the order passed by the 2nd respondent dated 06.02.2014 and for a direction to the 4th respondent/Employment Exchange to sponsor the name of the petitioner to the post of Temporary Daily Wage Junior Technical Mechanic in the 3rd respondent/Transport Corporation and for a further direction to the 1st respondent to relax the upper age limit of five years, based on which send the Interview Card to the petitioner.
2.The case of the petitioner is that after completing S.S.L.C. in the year 1990, he has completed a Certificate course in Mechanical (Motor Vehicle) at 2/6
Sri Renugambal I.T.I., Polur, in the year 1995 and subsequently, also underwent vocational training course in the year 2000-2001. After completion of training, he has got himself registered with the Employment Exchange on 08.10.1998. Since there was a ban imposed by the Government, in respect of appointment for a long period, the Government has issued G.O.Ms.No.98, Personnel and Administrative (P) Department, dated 17.07.2006, whereby relaxation in the age limit for 5 years was granted to the individuals to participate in the employment process.
3.According to the petitioner, since the age relaxation was not granted to him, he had preferred W.P.No.5739 of 2013 seeking for a direction to the Employment Exchange to sponsor his name to the post of Mechanic in the 3rd respondent/Transport Corporation with relaxation in the upper age limit of five years.
4.While the Writ Petition was pending, the 3rd respondent/Transport Corporation proceeded with the selection and interview letter was issued on 06.02.2014 to one S.John which is the subject matter of challenge in the present Writ Petition and the petitioner also sought for consequential relief of age relaxation for sponsoring his name.
5.When the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing, it is brought to the 3/6
notice of this Court that earlier, the Writ Petition filed by the petitioner in W.P.No.5739 of 2013 seeking for a prayer to the Employment Exchange to sponsor his name to the post of Mechanical by relaxing his age came to be dismissed by an order of this Court dated 27.07.2018. Further, only the interview letter that has been sent to one of the candidates is challenged in the present Writ Petition and the entire selection process has been completed in the year 2014 itself.
6.The petitioner is now aged 48 years, crossed the age to be considered for selection and further, since his earlier claim to relax his age has been dismissed by this Court and in view of the submissions that the entire selection has been over in the year 2014, there is no further orders are required in this Writ Petition.
Recording the submissions, this Writ Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. No costs. 13.11.2024 Index :Yes/No Speaking order :Yes/No :Yes/No mps 4/6
